Chattanooga Mocs dominate the Pioneers

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga defensive players made it almost impossible for Glenville State to score in the Mocs' 35-0 win over the Pioneers tonight at Finley Stadium.

The Mocs limited GSC (1-2) to five first downs, 17 rushing yards, 61 passing yards and a total of 78 yards for the game. By contrast, the Mocs gained 97 yards on one drive.

The Mocs improved to 2-0 on Thursday's under coach Russ Huesman (4-3 all-time). His first Thursday game was his first as UTC's coach, a 30-13 win over Glenville State top open the 2009 season.

UTC had to bring in the Pioneers for this game as a substitute for Presbyterian, which had to back out of the scheduled game because of a conflict. Presbyterian paid $50,000 to cancel the game and UTC sent that money Glenville State's way.
