Banquet recognizes Best of the Best

The Chattanooga Times Free Press recognized the favorite local businesses, attractions, schools and personalities Thursday night during the 5th annual Best of the Best banquet.

Thousands of readers vote every year for what or who they consider the best in 162 categories of community life. Thirty of the winners were recognized for being the top vote getters every year since the awards program began in 1998.

David Jackson, a second-generation owner of his family's 39-year-old bakery in Brainerd, said the Best of the Best award "is a great honor to know what we think is the best is shared by so many Chattanoogans." Jackson says he proudly displays and advertises the award his bakery has won for five years to generate even more business.

"We use the same ingredients and flavors we always have and I guess people agree with that," he said.
