A former jailer in DeKalb County, Ala., has been arrested on nine counts of harassment that stem from sexual misconduct.
Mitchell Dendy was fired earlier this year after three people came forward with harassment complaints, said Sheriff Jimmy Harris in a news release.
After Dendy was investigated by the district attorney’s office on the harassment charges, warrants were written for his arrest, Harris said. The case was then referred to the Alabama attorney general’s office for prosecution.
