A former Chattanooga Neighborhood Services employee facing more than a dozen theft charges has a trial date set for October.
Kenardo Curry was set to go on trial today for the alleged theft of city money while he worked in the department, but that was postponed in exchange for a possible plea agreement.
When his attorney, Dan Ripper, and prosecutor Bret Alexander could not reach an agreement, the case was set for trial on Oct. 23.
The first charges came in 2006, after audits revealed unauthorized credit card purchases by Curry, according to court documents.
