Steve L. Lindsey, president of Chattanooga Gas, Atlanta Gas & Light and Florida Gas Cos., is following his former boss to a St. Louis natural gas distributor. Lindsey, who lives in Signal Mountain, is joining Laclede Gas Co. as president, effective Oct. 1. He succeeds Suzanne Sitherwood, a former Atlanta Gas & Light Co. president who will continue to serve as CEO of The Laclede Group.

AGL Resources Inc., the parent company of Chattanooga Gas, announced Tuesday that Lindsey will be succeeded by Bryan Batson, currently senior vice president of commercial operations for AGL. Atlanta Gas & Light distributes natural gas to more than 1.5 million customers in Georgia, while Chattanooga Gas serves 62,000 customers in Southeast Tennessee.
