Man killed in weekend Meigs County shooting

The suspect in a Saturday night shooting that left one man dead in Meigs County, Tenn., has been charged with second-degree murder.

The incident happened around 10:20 p.m. Saturday night on Burkett Chapel Road, dispatchers said. Police said Joshua Smith, 25, argued with Nathan Whitener, 24.

Smith is charged with shooting and killing Whitener.
