The suspect in the theft of a truck from a local Walmart has been identified by Chattanooga police.

Christopher Lynn Goins, 25, is suspected of stealing a truck from the parking lot of the Walmart off Brainerd Road on Sept. 11, according to a news release. He is described as 5 foot 8, about 145 pounds and has black hair and hazel eyes.

He is wanted on a charge of theft over $10,000 and a state parole warrant for aggravated burglary, police said.

The owner of the truck of the 2010 silver Ford F-150 shot at the suspect as the vehicle was being driven away.

The owner left his keys on the counter inside the Walmart and they apparently were picked up by the person who stole the truck, police said.

Anyone with information on Goins is asked to call the Chattanooga Police Department at 423-698-2525.
