Tennessee Career Centers will be used by Amazon to fill the more than 250 full-time warehouse slots at its Chattanooga facility.

Job-seekers in East Tennessee can begin applying Monday, according to the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Amazon is working with the centers to conduct initial screenings. Interviews will begin right away, so applicants are encouraged to apply immediately.

The hourly starting pay is $11 an hour, plus shift differential, variable compensation pay, company stock, and comprehensive benefits.

Applications will be made available at both the Chattanooga and Athens Career Centers from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. For contact information and directions to the nearest center go to http://www.tn.gov/labor-wfd/cc/cccounty.shtml.

"We're very excited to partner with Amazon to help employ qualified Tennessee applicants at their fulfillment centers," said state Labor Commissioner Karla Davis.
