The former Country Life vegetarian restaurant and bakery will reopen Sunday as Green Thumb vegetarian kitchen at 428 Market St.

Gone is the vegetarian-themed buffet. In its place is a sushi bar, a juice bar and a smoothie bar, said chef Ervie Mariano.

"It's not a buffet anymore, it's all about combos now," Mariano said.

The $15,000 renovation includes a fresh design, and the new menu will allow patrons to eat lunch for $8.50 or less. Diners can select from a combination of hot dishes, salads and a la carte items, Mariano said.
