Textile plant opening in Rome

ATLANTA - A New Hampshire textile manufacturer plans to open a new $15 million manufacturing and distribution facility in Northwest Georgia.

Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal said Tuesday that Foss Manufacturing Co. is expected to create 150 jobs over three years.

Foss makes nonwoven fabrics and specialty synthetic fibers. It plans to manufacture medical masks, hospital apparel and linens and automotive and filtration products at its new plant in Rome. Foss CEO AJ Nassar said he is excited to expand the company's operations.
