Erlanger board member Richard Casavant resigned this week after serving a little more than a year of a 4-year appointment.
Erlanger spokeswoman Pat Charles confirmed the resignation this afternoon.
The board will meet this evening in a regular meeting. More information will be available after the meeting, Charles said.
Casavant , a former county commissioner and dean of the College of Business at University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, was appointed to the position in April 2011 by Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger.
Neither Coppinger nor Casavant could be reached for comment immediately.
