Four arrested on drug charges in Jackson County

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies and investigators arrested four people Thursday in Scottsboro, Ala., on drug-related charges.

Deputies initially arrested Charles Eugene Palmour on an outstanding arrest warrant for failure to appear and resisting arrest. Deputies then searched his home off Old Larkinsville Road and found methamphetamine, controlled pharmaceuticals and various drug paraphernalia.

Palmour was additionally charged with possession of controlled substances, illegal possession of prescription pills and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Three other people were also arrested: Melissa Sue Mason, 37, Christopher George, 37, and Eric Brandon, 25. All were charged with possession of controlled substances, illegal possession of prescription drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The suspects remain in custody and no bond has been set.
