Jay Craven to play with Jericho Brass

Clarinet player Jay Craven will join the Jericho Brass in a concert Wednesday night at First Christian Church, 650 McCallie Ave.

The free concert will begin at 6:15 p.m.

Craven will be the featured soloist on Artie Shaw's "Concerto for Bb Clarinet," arranged by Jericho Brass member Dan Hanson.

Shelby Walker, band director of McMinn Central High School in Athens, Tenn., will play a euphonium solo with the band on Rossini's "Largo al Factotum."

Jericho Brass is comprised of 35 professional and college-trained musicians from Chattanooga and Cleveland, Tenn., to Atlanta and Rome, Ga. The band, directed by Frank Hale, presents about 15 concerts a season.
