Georgia woman, 40, found dead in Easter morning fire

GAINESVILLE, Ga. - Authorities are investigating the death of a 40-year-old woman whose body was found in a burning home on Easter morning in northeast Georgia.

Forsyth County Fire Division Chief Jason Shivers tells The Times that Elise Jeanette Chrisley was dead when firefighters discovered her inside the house on Shady Grove Road in Forsyth County, just northeast of Atlanta.

Shivers said a passer-by reported the fire around 1:08 a.m. Sunday. Firefighters then searched the home and found Chrisley, who was alone in the house.

Shivers said authorities are awaiting results of an autopsy and toxicology report before determining her cause of death.
