Chattanooga-born Usher gave a shout-out Monday night to his hometown while working as a judge on NBC's "The Voice."

While he was trying to convince a contestant to join his team on the singing talent show, she told him she'd she started out singing in church. He replied that he did, too, at "St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church."

Usher, whose whole name is Usher Raymond, sang in the choir at St. Elmo Missionary. He attended Orchard Knob Elementary School and Dalewood Middle School before his family moved to Atlanta.
