Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga is accepting reservations for its annual spring dinner, which will feature three-time NBA champion Dickey Simpkins as keynote speaker. The event is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at The Mill, 1601 Gulf St.

Simpkins played six seasons with the Chicago Bulls in the mid '90s and was part of the NBA's "Winningest Teams," which included Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman. After concluding a 12-year career in professional basketball that included time in the NBA and in Europe, Simpkins founded Next Level Performance, a basketball skills development training organization in Chicago. In addition to managing NLP, Simpkins is a national motivational speaker, an ESPN sports analyst and a scout for the Charlotte Bobcats.

Simpkins will share an inspiring story about his late mother's journey of hope, perseverance, determination and homeownership.

Individual tickets to the dinner are $65, and a table of eight is $500. Corporate sponsorships include an exclusive meet-and-greet with Simpkins.

Proceeds will benefit the local Habitat chapter, which builds affordable homes for families in need. For ticket information, call 423-933-2700 or visit www.habitatspringdinner.com.
