Earth Day recycling event set in Chattanooga April 22

Orange Grove Center, Unum, and local businesses are joining forces to host a community-wide, Earth Day recycling event, on Monday, April 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Republic Parking lot at the corner of 4th and Walnut Streets.

Everyone is invited to drop off their unwanted, yet recyclable items to be collected by volunteers, according to a news release.

Orange Grove Center is offering free secure document destruction, and collection of paper and cardboard products, aluminum, plastics, computers and computer accessories, such as monitors and printers, for electronic recycling.

Best Buy will collect CRT tube televisions, and Fast Break Athletics will collect used tennis shoes, which will be repurposed for those in need.
