AUGUSTA, Ga. - A torrid 31 on the back nine lifted Marc Leishman to a 6-under 66 and the first-round lead at the Masters.

Sergio Garcia is making a hard push, making birdies on five of the first 10 holes and heading to Amen Corner at -5.

David Lynn, a 39-year-old Englishman who was the 2012 runner-up at the PGA Championship, was the early leader with a 4-under 68 before Leishman sprinted to the front.

Several familiar names are on the leaderboard as well, including Tiger Woods who shot a 2-under 70.

UTC senior Steven Fox made a bogey on No. 2 and a birdie on No. 8 to complete his first nine holes at Augusta National even par. Fox finished with a 4-over 76 after a 40-foot par put lipped out on the closing hole.

"It was fun," said Fox, who made his Masters debut after winning last year's U.S. Amateur. "After the second hole the nerves went away."

Three-time Masters champ Phil Mickelson was 2 over through nine holes, and 1992 Masters champ Fred Couples was 3-under through 10 holes
