The man known until now only as “Person A” in the federal gambling prosecution of former South Pittsburg Mayor Mike Killian has been named — Robert Barry Cole.
Cole agreed last week to plead guilty to a single count of illegal gambling in federal court. He has admitted to being Killian’s partner from 2002 until December 2012 in an illegal sports betting operation.
Mike Killian agreed to plead guilty to the charge in February. His sentencing date is May 9. Cole’s sentencing date has not yet been set.
