Scott beats Cabrera in a playoff at Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Adam Scott won the Masters by making a birdie on the second playoff against Angel Cabrera.

Scott became the first Australian golfer to win a green jacket. He and Cabrera shot 9-under 279 with both making a birdie on the final hole of regulation.

They both parred the first playoff hole before Scott pured in a 12-foot putt on the second playoff hole.

Jason Day finished in third place at 7 under. Tiger Woods and Marc Leishman tied for fifth. Brandt Snedeker and Thorbjorn Olesen tied for sixth.
