GPS has named Jennifer Williams as its new head basketball coach. Williams, who has coached the Bruisers’ middle school program and been an assistant with the varsity, takes over for Susan Crownover, who stepped down recently to concentrate on coaching softball.
“We feel like it’s a perfect fit for us because Jennifer is someone who is already on campus and knows the girls and the program,” GPS athletic director Stacey Hill said.
Williams, a former athlete at Red Bank and the University of Kentucky, has also coached volleyball and softball as well as basketball while working at Soddy-Daisy and Signal Mountain Middle School, prior to coming to GPS.
