Nashville high school closed after threat

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A private high school in Nashville has been closed after receiving some type of threat.

WSMV-TV reports all campus activities at Father Ryan High School were canceled today after police informed school officials of the threat.

Officials have said only that the threat was posted online in some form.

In a message posted on the school website, President Jim McIntyre says, in part, “We know this is a busy and important weekend on the campus, with everything from the Spring musical to several athletic contests to our Welcome Mass for our newly admitted freshmen. However, we feel that closing the school and campus is the best decision at this time.”
