The McMinn County High School Fine Arts and Performing Arts departments will present "Once Upon a Mattress" as this year's spring musical.

The musical comedy will be staged at 7 p.m. the next two Fridays and Saturdays, April 26-27 and May 3-4, in the newly renovated auditorium at the school, 2215 Congress Parkway, Athens, Tenn.

It is adapted from Hans Christian Andersen's "The Princess and the Pea." Queen Aggravain has ruled that no one in the kingdom may marry until her son, Prince Dauntless, has wed. And she manages to sabotage any possible bride.

Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students in advance, $10 and $8 at the door.
