Smith and her service dog, Dylan, will be present at a First Thursday reception for artists whose work is on display this month in the Shanks galleries.
The reception will be held 5-7 p.m. today, Aug. 1.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday (all times are Central).
