Chattanooga police: Man shoots at girlfriend's father

A man has been arrested after he shot at his girlfriend's father, Chattanooga police said in a news release.

Shots were fired shortly after 10 p.m. at 1732 Jenkins Road, the release stated.

The victim told police that his daughter had a verbal disorder with her boyfriend and that the boyfriend ended up smashing out some windows. No one was injured.

The SWAT Team and Hostage Negotiation Team responded and just before 1 a.m. they exited the house and were taken into custody without incident.

Charges may be filed pending the outcome of the investigation. More information will be released when available.
