Police have arrested a man suspected of tying up his girlfriend with zip ties and stuffing her into a trunk this weekend.

After beating the woman and tying her up on Saturday, Twan Hendricks, 32, drove her to an East Nashville church and left her trapped in the trunk, according to his arrest warrant.

The woman said she freed herself with the emergency release, drove to her apartment and cut the zip ties from her hands.
