Georgia Lottery players across the state have won large prizes playing Powerball, including three $1 million prizes and six $10,000 prizes from Wednesday’s massive $448 million jackpot drawing, according to a news release.
Winning tickets with $1 million prizes were sold in Peachtree City, Stockbridge and Pooler, the release stated. Tickets with $10,000 prizes were sold in Rising Fawn, Augusta, Columbus, Duluth, West Point and Athens.
One winning ticket worth $40,000 was sold in Savannah.
The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is an estimated $40 million to a single annuity winner.
Winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.
