• 1. His middle name is Guy.

• 2. Although he hasn’t made it into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Adams was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2006.

• 3. “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You” was ranked 16th on Billboard’s list of All-Time Hot 100 Top Songs. Adams himself made the No. 38 spot on Billboard’s list of All-Time Top Artists.

• 4. In addition to penning rock ballads, Adams also has distinguished himself as a photographer. Since 2000, he has had 20 international exhibitions of his work at venues in London, Vienna, Rome, Munich and Moscow.

• 5. During the summer of ‘69, Adams would have been 9 years old, and when he wrote the song, he was 25. In 2010, “Summer of ‘69” was named the hottest summer song in a poll of German listeners to that country’s Sudwestrundfunk (Southwest Broadcasting).
