Lisa Lambert in Kamama series in Mentone, Ala. — Aug. 15

Mississippi singer/songwriter Lisa Lambert is the next featured artist in the Kamama Music Series at the Kamama Gallery, 5951 Alabama Highway 117, in Mentone, Ala.

She will be joined by Fort Payne, Ala., musician Russell Gulley. A member of a bluegrass band for five years, Lambert is now focusing on original music she writes with her husband.

The sound, described as country folk and hillbilly blues, is showcased on Lambert's new debut solo album, "Songs and Stories From Tishomingo County."

The show starts at 7 tonight, Aug. 15; doors open at 6 p.m. (all times Central).

Admission is $10.
