IF AL QAEDA has been decimated, why close 22 embassies, Mr. President? Who are we afraid of?

WHAT WOULD Jesus do: Spend $700,000 erecting big crosses, or spend $700,000 helping the poor?

SHOULD THOSE cross about three crosses, privately funded, be more cross about the debt and death from warfare and welfare, publicly funded?

IT IS A MUCH worse crime to deprive a young child of his dad than it is to be in possession of seven shotgun shells!

THE “TODAY SHOW” said that the recession is over. Tell that to the increasing numbers of clients at the Food Bank.

IF A DOCTOR APPROVES a procedure, then all insurance policies should cover the cost.

GEORGIA MOVES border: It gets Tennessee water and East Ridge City Council. Be careful what you wish for.

COMMISSIONERS’ PRAYERS are not a violation of the Constitution. Our country was founded on the religious freedom for all religions!

WHY DOES ANY religion think that it has all of the rights: Christianity, Muslim, Jewish or any other religion?

PEOPLE TRAVELING south on Highway 27: Please slow down in the work zone. Someone is going to be killed or seriously injured.

CAN WE LEARN TO disagree without being hateful? If we cannot, we will create a world devoid of peace and joy. Our fault.

If I'm not mistaken one of Jesus's disciples also said the perfume that was poured on Jesus's feet could have been sold and the money used for the poor. What was his name? And was he really concerned with helping the poor?

I find it peculiar that those who preach one should not judge have no problem judging those in the church. and not just over this cross issue. Do as you tell those in the church to do, quit judging.

Does the ranter posting about Al Qaeda being "decimated" know what that word actually means? To decimate = to kill one out of every ten. It does not mean to eradicate or eliminate.

Personally I couldn't care less how that holy rolling church spends its money. If they want to squander it on three gigantic hunks of metal that they think have some magical power of drawing people into its aura of "salvation," well, whoop-dee-friggin'-doo. But it's just another way that self-righteous fundamentalist wackos have of inserting their dogmatic drivel into our society, whether we like it or not. While they are well within their rights to construct whatever they want to on their property, there ought to be height restrictions that prohibit them from obstructing the sky line and forcing others to be a witness to those gaudy monstrosities. I will give the Bible thumpers credit for one thing: they're pretty clever in all the different ways think of to preach and spread and shine a spotlight on their silly, primitive dogmatic beliefs, in their ceaseless attempts to drag the rest of society down to their level.
