Chattanooga Lookouts lose to Suns, out of playoff race

J.T. Realmuto drove in four runs and Mark Canha went 3-for-4 and scored twice Sunday as the Jacksonville Suns defeated Chattanooga 6-4 at A&T Field.

The loss dropped the Lookouts to 17-38, eliminating them from the Southern League's second-half race. Chattanooga is 52-73 overall after once having a 45-43 record.

Realmuto hit a three-run home run to left in the second inning to help Jacksonville build a 6-0 lead entering the sixth inning, when Joc Pederson hit a two-run homer to right. Pederson went 3-for-5 in a losing effort.

The two teams will play a pair of seven-inning games today, beginning at 5:05. Chris Reed and Andres Santiago are scheduled to start for the Lookouts.
