Body found floating in creek

Chattanooga police are trying to identify a body found floating in Lookout Creek on Saturday, according to a news release.

The release said police were called by an unidentified person about 12:30 p.m. and went to 331 Garden Road, where they retrieved the body from the creek. No information on the identity or cause of death was given.

The case is under investigation, the release stated.


Chattanooga juvenile shot in head

A gunshot to the head left a Chattanooga juvenile in critical condition Sunday morning, according to Chattanooga police.

A police news release states that about 6:25 a.m., police were dispatched to 1206 Sheridan Ave., in the Bushtown community, in response to a shooting.

Arriving officers reportedly found a young black man with a single gunshot to the head. He was taken to an area hospital and was listed in critical condition Sunday.

Sunday evening, police had not released any additional information.


Chattanooga man shot in ankle

Just after midnight Sunday morning, a Chattanooga man was shot in the ankle at 1202 Greenwood Road, according to a Chattanooga police report.

Police responded to a "person shot call" to find Tramelvin Simmons with a single gunshot wound to the ankle. An unknown suspect reportedly began shooting at the location, striking Simmons.

Simmons was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

There was no suspect information Sunday.


Shooter opens fire at crowd

A crowd came under fire Sunday morning at 2510 E. Main St., formerly The Wet Bar, The G Spot and now operating as Club Boo Cue.

The club has been the site of several shootings in recent years.

As of the middle of July, police had been called to 2510 E. Main St. 43 times since 2010.

Fatal shootings occurred on April 2 and June 23 of this year at the site.

Chattanooga police reports indicate someone began shooting at a crowd in Club Boo Cue's parking lot just after 3 a.m.

At the site, police found Terry Pullom with a gunshot wound to the ankle.

Pullom was taken to an area hospital in a private vehicle and was listed in stable condition Sunday.

There was no suspect information Sunday.
