A 46-year-old man sitting on a front porch in Chattanooga was shot multiple times in the legs, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
Police were called to victim Robert Birt at 3612 3rd Avenue around 11:10 p.m. Monday.
He was taken to a hospital for treatment of the nonlife-threatening injuries.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot. Anyone with information is asked to call Chattanooga police at 423-698-2525.
