Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga golfer Alex Ratliff from Kingsport is joining the Lee University coaching staff as a graduate assistant. He was part of UTC Southern Conference tournament championships in 2011 and 2012. "I am ecstatic to be adding Alex to our program," Lee coach John Maupin said in a school release. "I spent most of the summer looking for a good replacement for [former GA] Chad Wilson. I definitely think we found that in Alex. He comes from a tremendous golf program and has experience at the highest level." Ratliff had a 3.48 GPA in earning a business management degree at UTC.

• Former UTC golfers Matthew Brock and Mitch Brock joined ex-Tennessee Wesleyan player Casey Flenniken from the Knoxville area in winning the Callaway Golf Pro-Pro-Pro Scramble with a 17-under-par 55 Monday at Hillwood Country Club in Nashville. The Honors Course team of Henrik Simonsen, Sean Rice and Hamilton Brown were in a three-way tie for second at 57.
