MORROW, Ga. - Police say a driver who stopped to change a flat tire on Interstate 75 in Morrow has died after being hit by a car.
Morrow Police Capt. James Callaway says the unidentified driver was on the side of the highway near an entrance ramp this morning when hit by a car. Police say a second person was also injured and has been taken to Grady Memorial Hospital. Authorities say the driver involved in the crash is cooperating with police.
Officials say the initial accident led to a six-vehicle crash, a traffic jam and lane closures on the interstate.
Morrow is about 13 miles south of downtown Atlanta.
