Neil Ramirez, P.J. Francescon and Yelper Castillo combined to pitch a one-hitter as the Tennessee Smokies won Thursday night's Southern League series opener at AT&T Field with a 5-0 win over Chattanooga.
A crowd of 1,725 watched as the Lookouts dropped to 23-42 with four games remaining in the league's second half.
The game was scoreless until the fourth inning, when Arismendy Alcantara opened with a triple to center field and scored on a Javier Baez sacrifice fly. The Smokies made it 2-0 later in the fourth on a Christian Villanueva home run to left.
Tennessee maintained a 2-0 lead until Justin Bour's three-run double to center in the eighth inning.
Jeremy Moore collected the only hit for the Lookouts in the fourth.
