ATLANTA - Authorities say a pedestrian has been struck and killed on Interstate 85 just northeast of Atlanta.
Gwinnett County police say the death happened around 4:30 a.m. today in the northbound lanes of the interstate just north of Georgia 316.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that two right lanes of northbound I-85 remained blocked at 6 a.m. The identity of the person killed wasn't immediately released.
Few other details were immediately available early today.
Gwinnett police have not said what the person was doing on the interstate.
