Multiple police departments have confirmed that a shooting incident involving an officer took place just before 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
The incident happened in Etowah along U.S. Highway 411 at approximately 7:42 p.m., but little else is available regarding the incident itself at this hour. McMinn County police and the Tennessee Highway Patrol arrived on scene soon after.
All of the officers involved are unharmed, according to McMinn County dispatch operators.
