Monday, December 2, 2013

Two Dalton, Ga., police officers have been suspended without pay, received written reprimands and been assigned 40 hours of community service each after using "inappropriate" language when addressing students about school bus behavior.

The discipline for Officers John Gurrieri and Steven Collins came after an investigation prompted by a parent of one of the students, according to a Dalton Police Department news release.

According to a news release, the officer's conduct was "inconsistent with the department's mission."
