GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. - Crews are continuing to search for a Guntersville boater, who is believed to have fallen out of his boat in Marshall County.

The Gadsden Times reports that 57-year-old Jackie Neil Rowell is believed to have left a marina Nov. 15 in his boat.

He was reported missing Nov. 25 by a marina manager after he failed to make contact with the marina as he usually did while on a trip.

A day later, his boat was found floating and unattended just south of the Guntersville Lock and Dam. Everything inside was in order, including a kitten that has been turned over to family members.

Sheriff's officials say there's evidence to suggest Rowell fell out of the boat, but exactly where is unknown.
