Scope: This Applebee's will seat 200 people and features the chain's latest restaurant design. The new prototype moves the bar from the center of the restaurant to the side in order to fit more open seating into the dining room. The bar is designed to give customers great views of big-screen televisions to watch sporting events. The restaurant will feature Applebee's Carside service, which allows customers to park outside and have food delivered to their cars.

History: The revamped structure will replace the original Dalton Applebee's building, which was a steak house. The new building is modern, with smaller square-footage but more usable space, said Wade Crawford, Quality Restuarant Concepts director of marketing.

Future: Quality Restaurant Concepts will continue with remodels of Applebee's locations on Shallowford Road and Brainerd Road in 2014.
