The Tennessee Chamber Chorus, along with guest harpist Christa Lambert Wenger, will perform two shows around the area Sunday, Dec. 15, and Tuesday. Dec. 17. A third concert will take place in Alcoa, Tenn., on Monday, Dec. 16.

"A Ceremony of Carols" will feature Advent and Christmas music spanning more than 600 years. Everything from grand to simple arrangements will be featured, including Medieval and Renaissance carols, carol arrangements by Alice Parker, a set of Scandinavian carols from Norway, Sweden and Finland, and other choral works.

The Chamber Chorus is based in Cleveland, Tenn., and is less than a year old. It has plans to expand to Chattanooga, Knoxville and eventually Nashville.

"It's incredibly exciting," says founding artistic director and conductor Cameron LaBarr. "We hoped the community would embrace this ensemble, but we were pleasantly shocked at the amount of support we received. The East Tennessee community has become our home, and we would not have been able to get off the ground without the generous spirit of people in this region."

Singers include sopranos Julianna Emanski, Caitlin Hammon, Carly Wingfield, Rachel Cooke, Sara Kennedy and Susan LaBarr; altos Kaylee Gallagher, Kelsey Frost, Beth Gibbs, Lamprini Lindeman, Andrea Dismukes and David Stanley; tenors Lee Rose, Andrew Crane, Alan Stevens and Dirk Johnson; and basses Chris Oglesby, Daniel Elder, Shreyas Patel and Korre Foster.

Sunday's concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 320 Broad St., NW, in Cleveland, Tenn. It will be repeated Monday in Alcoa, and again on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 630 Mississippi Ave., on Signal Mountain.

Admission for the show in Cleveland is $18 for regular seating and $25 for premium seats. Admission for the Signal Mountain show is $5 for students and $18 for adults.
