Former LaFayette High School football player faces murder charge

TROY, Ala. - A football player from LaFayette is facing a murder charge in connection with a shooting in Troy, Alabama.

Authorities say 21-year-old Dimitri Miles was apprehended late Sunday after he allegedly shot and killed 26-year-old Marquise McLendon at an apartment complex early that morning.

Miles graduated from LaFayette High School in 2010, where he played football and basketball.
