'Tis the season ... of love; capture the Christmas spirit this year

Contrary to how we act, this season isn't all about retailing and complaining.

And Santa isn't just white -- or green.

And make no mistake: Christ is only gone from the Xmas if you want Him to be. Because after all, what we harbor in our hearts is up to us.

Just as it is our choice what we buy or reject in those brightly lit stores with jingle bell songs, so is it our freedom and choice what faith we choose and how we share it.

Christmas, then, is even about more than our prophets or saviors.

Christmas is about a spirit -- a feeling of oneness and reverence; a time of family, friends, laughter and good food; an opportunity to reflect, find redemption, worship, seek solace, feel loved.

Christmas is about what we make it, based on our beliefs and based on our hearts.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Feliz Navidad, Good Cheer. ...

Peace on earth, good will to all.
