Scope: MHC Kenworth, which specializes in heavy- and medium-duty commercial trucks, is relocating from its current facility on E. 29th Street to a location just past the intersection of Bonny Oaks Drive and Old Lee Highway. This 63,000-square-foot facility will include everything MHC has to offer, from a dealership for the company's used and new trucks to a body and repair shop with 18 service bays and eight body shop bays. About 100 people will work at the site, which will feature top-of-the-line equipment including a downdraft paint booth and motion-controlled lights. The building will capitalize on natural light with translucent overhead bay doors.
Timeline: Opens summer 2014.
