ATLANTA — Frequent showers and storms have made 2013 Atlanta's fifth wettest year on record.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Sunday showers brought the year's total rainfall to 66.02 inches.
The only years with more rainfall than 2013 were 2009, 1948, 1935 and 1929.
The record was set in 1948, when 71.45 inches of rain fell.
