600 still without power in Gordon County

Six hundred North Georgia EMC customers in Gordon County are still without power this morning.

Utility line crews are continuing to work in the hardest hit areas of Gordon County after more than 4,000 customers lost power Wednesday when violent storms caused extensive damage to trees, homes, and the local electric system.

“We are in the last stages of the restoration process” Jeff Brown, NGEMC Vice President of Operations and Engineering, said in a news release.

NGEMC hopes to have the majority of power restored by tonight.
