GREENVILLE, S.C. - The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's basketball team picked up its seventh straight win and remained in first place in the Southern Conference with a 60-57 victory against Furman this afternoon at Timmons Arena.

UTC came in shooting 64.7 percent from the free-throw line, but in a physical game with a lot of fouls by both teams, the Lady Mocs (17-3, 10-1 SoCon) hit 14 of 17 shots from the line.

Kayla Christopher hit a pair with 15 seconds left to put UTC up 60-57. Furman (8-12, 4-7) had a chance to tie, but Kaitlin Murphy's 3-pointer at the end was off the mark. Christopher led UTC with 16 points and Ashlen Dewart scored 13.
