Corridor summit back in Oak Ridge

The Tennessee Valley Corridor National Summit will return to Oak Ridge in May, 18 years after the first such summit was held in the Atomic City.

U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann, R-Chattanooga, said Monday the details and dates for the forum still are being worked out. But in a statement, Fleischmann said he is working to include several national speakers, including House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Virginia.

The 2013 summit will focus on energy, advanced manufacturing, workforce development, innovation and entrepreneurism.

"By working together our Valley has competed for and attracted important energy, research, space and national security missions that are important to our country," Fleischmann said.

Fish now option in Happy Meals

NEW YORK - McDonald's says it is offering its first new Happy Meal entree in a decade: Fish McBites.

The world's biggest hamburger chain said the Fish McBites will be widely available at U.S. restaurants starting this week through March, to coincide with Lent. The Happy Meals will come with seven pieces of Fish McBites, French fries, apple slices and a drink.

The company had already announced last month that the Fish McBites would be sold on the standard menu.
