David Keith Farris Jr., known as D.J. and 35 years old, was arrested in Birchwood today after having been sought by Bradley County Sheriff’s detectives and the Cleveland Police Department following a number of battery thefts at businesses and construction sites.
A news release from the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect had been traced to his parents home. He was taken into custody without incident, the release said.
He was taken to the Hamilton County Jail and will be held on warrants filed in Bradley and Meigs counties.
Last November the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office had filed charges on two counts of theft of more than $1,000 in battery thefts at J and J Marine on Georgetown Road and a Holloway Road construction site.
The release said the Cleveland Police Department had also filed added theft charges relating to investigation it is carrying out.
